چکیده

Abstract In this study, integrative metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses were conducted to investigate the effects of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) on apple fruit quality during long-term cold storage. The results showed that 1-MCP (1 ?L/L) treatment could maintain fruits apparent (i.e. external color firmness), inhibit increase rot rate soluble solids content/titratable acidity ratio, decrease ethylene release, respiratory intensity storage, extend shelf life. Moreover, had accumulation many qualities related metabolite gene expression in fruits. affected genes metabolism at early stage specifically those glycolysis tricarboxylic acid cycle pathways. Genes degradation sucrose, starch, cellulose inhibited, some starch synthesis up-regulated by 1-MCP. Apart from signal transduction being inhibited 1-MCP, several enzymes (pectinesterase, pectate lyase, polygalacturonase) involved pectin degradation, products cell wall d-galacturonic d-glucuronic acid) also strongly further maintaining firmness. Cysteine, as precursor glutathione (GSH) plant resistance, synthase gene. However, cyanoalanine amino utilization pathways was suppressed Collectively, postharvest

Postharvest Quality and Handling of ‘honeycrisp’ Apples

The juicy texture of ‘Honeycrisp’ has exploded in the Northeast apple market. Grower interest and consumer demand has made this cultivar more readily accepted than most and it continues to increase in popularity. ‘Honeycrisp’ is a bi-color apple and the flesh is cream colored with a juicy crisp texture. It has outstanding flavor characteristics and can remain crisp for several months during sto...

Development of Internal Browning in Fuji Apples during Storage

Fuji apples may develop the physiological disorders core flush or flesh browning during cold storage in air (RA) or controlled atmosphere (CA) (Argenta et al., 2000). Core flush is a symptom of senescence characterized by yellow-brown discoloration in the core (Wilkinson and Fidler, 1973). In Fuji apples, flesh browning (Photo 1) resembles senescent breakdown because the diffuse, light brown di...

The Role of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) in Improving the Postharvest Quality of Some Cut Rose Cultivars

In order to improve the postharvest quality and the export ability of cut rose (Rosa hybrida L.) cvs. Happy Hour and Bordeaux, the effect of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) as an ethylene inhibitor, was investigated. 1-MCP was used at 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6 g m-3 for 18 h at 8 °C to simulate the transport of flowers. 1-MCP treatment significantly prolonged the vase life and minimized the weight los...

Complete genome sequence and transcriptomics analyses reveal pigment biosynthesis and regulatory mechanisms in an industrial strain, Monascus purpureus YY-1

Monascus has been used to produce natural colorants and food supplements for more than one thousand years, and approximately more than one billion people eat Monascus-fermented products during their daily life. In this study, using next-generation sequencing and optical mapping approaches, a 24.1-Mb complete genome of an industrial strain, Monascus purpureus YY-1, was obtained. This genome cons...
